Happy 9 months, Alivia Kate!
Weight update: 15 lbs, 7 oz. (6-oz gain in 7 days!)
Height: 27 in.
Milestones: Our peanut began crawling on Halloween! Before then, she had been scooting backward on all fours, but once she saw Tyler's treat bag after trick-or-treating, she took off! It was the funniest thing. Since then, she's used crawling when she REALLY wants something and is only starting to use it as a more casual form of mobility. She also loves to pull up on things but hasn't yet been fully successful without assistance. Also, she's eating like a champ and setting several personal records for milk intake. And finally...we are paci-free! We noticed at the beginning of October that she wasn't taking a pacifier much, so we just stopped offering one. This is the same age Tyler gave his up.
Likes: yogurt, fruits, Elmo's voice, a toy soccer ball, and a play kitchen we have (more specifically, the spatula and pan that go with it)
Dislikes: Breakfast. The child is a total pain to feed in the mornings (beyond a bottle). She's also apparently not quite ready for anything more solid than baby food; she prefers to play with those Gerber puff snacks over eating them. She's also not a fan of the sippy cup.
Alivia gets christened on Nov. 14, after which we'll celebrate Tyler's 4th birthday. I am really looking forward to it!
Love the progress! Keep up the good work, Ali!
