Family Getaway

First, OOPS! I completely dropped the ball with the whole "blogging every day" thing during my week off from work. I honestly haven't had the time! It's been a GREAT week. We've had an outing nearly every day, and capped the week off with an overnight trip to St. Louis on Friday/Saturday.

Our first stop was the St. Louis Science Center, which both kids really loved. I didn't take any overly cute photos there, so we'll skip over a photo here. Just picture two kids running in every direction for a couple hours. :)

We headed to our hotel after that. We totally lucked out and had a GREAT view of Southwest terminal at Lambert Air Field! On Friday we saw the planes landing, and on Saturday, we saw them taking off. So fun!

Friday night, the boys headed to the Cards game. Tyler got completely spoiled and came home with a Fredbird, new ball hat, a free T-shirt (size adult XL - ha!) and a belly full of ice cream and popcorn. Too bad the Cards lost!

Alivia and I had some girl time while the boys were at the game, complete with shopping and vegging in the hotel.

On Saturday, we took things slow. Before checking out we spent some time in the pool, which we had all to ourselves.

After some outlet shopping, we headed home. It was a quiet trip. Both kiddos were asleep within minutes!

Both Tyler and Alivia are at great ages for outings likes this. It is fun to be a bit past the infant age with Alivia - she's really acting like a bonafide toddler (probably because she is!).
